Delivery of the exhaust system with ECE approval begins on April 1, 2026!
The REAPER V4 valved exhaust system perfectly matches the sporty character of your car. Thanks to the ability to open and close the system’s valves depending on the driving profile, you can use your vehicle as a daily-drivable racer while also being able to unleash performance and an adrenaline-inducing sound at the push of a button.
All components of the exhaust system are hand-manufactured by us, TIG welded, and back-purged to meet the highest quality standards.
Thanks to the patented DTH dual-valve technology, your car remains quiet and suitable for long-distance driving when the valves are closed.
Since the factory valve control does not meet the legal noise limit requirements, we retrofit a CAN-bus controlled valve management system.
Using a special adapter, we connect to the CAN module in the footwell and read signals such as:
vehicle speed
engine load
driving profile
The system then regulates the exhaust valves according to legal requirements.
From the factory, the i30N in N mode is already extremely sporty and clearly audible. We developed our CAN control system in two directions:
A sound in N mode that gives you goosebumps, while also allowing the valve to be open legally at idle.
A comfortable, everyday noise level in Normal mode, where the valve remains closed at idle and only opens later during regular driving.
This transforms the i30N into both a club sport racer and a daily companion.
Special feature:
We are currently the only provider on the market whose control system also incorporates:
engine RPM
engine load
driving profile
gear selection
into the valve control strategy.
Using a special adapter cable set that we developed, it is also possible to run the REAPER V4 with the factory valve control.
In this configuration, the exhaust valves operate like the stock system and remain permanently open in Dynamic mode.
⚠️ This option is for export only and not part of the ECE approval.
Using it on public roads may result in the loss of vehicle operating approval.
We develop the valve control individually for each vehicle so that legal limits and regulations are always met, while still allowing the car to release maximum sound and performance at the push of a button.
At idle: valves remain closed to comply with legal regulations.
ECO / Comfort mode: valves open only at 4000 rpm, allowing quiet and comfortable driving even at high motorway speeds.
RACE / SPORT mode: valves close only within legal measurement conditions (3rd and 4th gear between 20–80 km/h).
Additional behavior:
2nd gear: valve open (outside measurement range)
Outside 20–80 km/h: valves open
Highway measurements showed a reduction in exhaust back pressure of more than 100 mbar.

The market is full of manufacturers offering various exhaust systems. So what makes the difference?
We have been manufacturing exhaust systems in-house since 2009, and when we say complete, we truly mean it.
The mufflers of every DTH exhaust system are:
rolled from stainless steel sheet
stamped with the distinctive star pattern
longitudinally welded
The internal components of mufflers experience the greatest environmental stress.
When 1 liter of fuel is burned, approximately 1 liter of acidic water is produced. This attacks the internal components of the mufflers (such as perforated pipes), causing corrosion.
While V2A stainless steel is resistant to water, it is not resistant to acid.
For this reason, we are one of the few manufacturers who produce our perforated pipes ourselves from V4A stainless steel sheet, which offers higher corrosion resistance.
Along with the muffler materials, we use a special insulation material that is heat-resistant up to 1100°C.
Combined with the muffler design, this produces a unique sound signature.

DTH exhaust systems are 100% TIG welded.
In this high-precision welding process:
an arc burns between a tungsten electrode and the material
the metal melts and fuses together
shielding gas protects the weld seam from oxygen
Additional filler material is manually added to create a weld seam that permanently connects:
pipes
exhaust valves
mufflers
However, there is a downside.
Inside the pipes there is normally no protective gas atmosphere, meaning the glowing weld seam could oxidize and eventually rust, weakening the weld.
To prevent this:
we seal the system with special silicone plugs
fill the entire system with argon gas
This creates a protective atmosphere inside the exhaust as well, allowing the weld seams to remain gold-colored both inside and outside.
This process is called back purging (forming) and is essential for rust-free, durable welds that last a lifetime.
We develop our exhaust systems on our in-house AWD dynamometer as part of a complete performance package.
The systems can usually be expanded with:
a high-flow downpipe with thermal insulation
a modified intake
The package is completed with custom ECU tuning on the dyno.
Our downpipes and exhaust systems are not developed as standalone parts. Instead, they are designed so that legal regulations are still met when combined with:
downpipe
intake
performance upgrades
This allows all components to be legally registered together.
To achieve this, the systems are extensively tested:
on the dyno
with TÜV certification
in an emissions laboratory
